Throughout university my work revolved around documenting time by investigating movement and change. My interest in this began with the photograph, and the way we use it to capture a moment. I chose to use leaves as my subject, as there are already values of time surrounding them due to their constant change throughout the seasons. By taking stills from film of the leaves moving, I examined the idea that everything leaves a trace or a trail that gradually fades away. Photography is a way of preserving a memory, although it is only ever a representation, you are never able to repeat that moment in time.
